Irma may Series

" The character of Irma May sprung from my grotesque paintings and a mélange of personal experiences. Now I realize the series is an optimized autobiography created by my subconscious; a life I yet have to live.'"

Irma’s creation story is made up of three pieces, that reflects my own triumph over hardship with strength and peace.

 First, Irma receiving shocking news, second, she is reflecting and processing the news, finally she is willingly surrenders herself but not without a serious dare. This mini series reflects my own triumph over hardship with strength and peace.

Large scale drawings

I use hard pencils to ensure the lines are preserved the way I laid them, so the viewer would keep on stepping closer to the art eventually breaking the line of privacy, and that closeness is symbolically revealing me.
